My warranty just expired along with the free maintenance. I am now running with the certified pre owned warranty at 45000 miles on the clock. I was thinking about paying the $2000 plus, but when I looked at the service indicators I saw the brake fluid flush and oil change change are the only thing that may be due up in the very near future. The spark plugs had 60000 miles remaining, the front and rear brakes had an average of 18000 miles remaining, the vehicle check service was due in 12000 miles, and the microfilters were up in another 60000. I drive the car less than 10000 miles per year.
So should I just save my money??? BMW wont replace things sooner than they need correct? Even oil changes are not done under this plan for no sooner than 15K miles, correct. I have never take the car in for service since I have had it, for 1 yr. No indicators have gone off since, except the microfilters, which I changed myself.
On a side note, how often are you guys getting your oil changed? I have gone aprox. 10,000 miles without one and the idrive is saying one is due in another 1000 miles.

Not worth it... I purchased it and the only time I ever used it was for oil changes. Yes, BMW won't service your car at all unless the ECU says it's time... oil changes are covered under the maintenance warranty. Otherwise you'll have to pay out-of-pocket for anything you want prematurely done. My oil changes are done every 8k (personal preference). As for brakes, it's still cheaper to just go after-market and get some nice brakes and upgraded rotors from Trinity (as I did) or any other vendor instead of paying for the warranty. Go after market for the spark plugs too as I have noticed a slight increase in gas mileage (although that could just be from putting new plugs in to begin with). Plus, I find that I now get my car back faster from the shop when I'm paying a customer so that might be something to think about also...
