Magneto's Excellent Adventure
Hello fellow E60 enthusiasts. I've just joined this forum and will soon join the fellowship of E60. I ordered my 530i this week and to help while away the hours, I subject you my brothers and sisters, to the ramblings of a wanna-be turned soon-to-be as he waits with grand anticipation the arrival of his machinamentum ultima
My quest began 3 years ago when I purchased my first BMW, a 330i with a fair number of bells and whistles. It was love at first acceleration. In spite of the boobery and shenanigans of the local dealer, I knew then that my relationship with BMW could possibly be a long one.
A 2006 Titanium Gray 530i has been ordered and with production number in hand, I watch as the hands of the clock move a little slower every day.
Wish me luck.

Nice one. I take it it's the new in-line 6 with magnesium bits.

[/quote]It's entirely possible. My 06 530i has been released to the carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit. Your dealer may have snuck your changes into an order they already had in the pipeline. That's what happened with mine - I ordered my car on the 12th, and by the 15th the dealer faxed me a printout from BMW NA with all the options and prices saying the car was 150 (in production).
