M6 167 wheels and tires on a 535i?
#1
Hello Guys,
I got a couple of questions:
Is there any possible way that the tires wont rub when putting in Stock M6 wheels and tires on a 535i without the sport option???
Has anyone put on the mtech kit for PRE-LCI E60 on their LCI E60? Quad_m says that his dealer says it will fit, but doesn't know of anybody who tried this mod.
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated...Thanks

I doubt the suspension will make any difference, other than with repect to handling.
There's no publicly posted information about the M-tech kit for '08 yet, but it's apparently either available or obtainable. See http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=42319

I know from personal experience that the M167 wheels with stock tires from an M6 will not fit directly on non-sport pre-LCI e60, which is what I have. The rear fenders will have to be rolled since there will be " major " rubbing issues that will tear up the rubber off the outside of your tires as they catch the fender's inner lip while hitting even the most " minor " bumps. After rolling the rear fenders, this problem went away. As for the front I didn't want to risk any problems so I went down one notch size-wise, from 255/40-19 to 245/40-19 which has worked out fine so far. These are not the BMW recommended tire sizes for an e60, so try at your own risk.
