Default M54 oil separator

I'm about to order a new oil separator and all associated lines. I'm aware that there are two versions (standard and 'cold weather'). I live in Florida, so cold weather is not a concern. Is there any advantage to replacing what I have with the cold weather version?

The cold weather version has rubber insulation around the pump making it impossible to install due to the tight confines. I ended up yelling and cussing for about and hour before before ripping apart the insulation and installing without it. I spoke to a BMW mastertech who said they remove it as well
