hi all
i want to purchase oem m5 mirrors for my car 2006 bmw 530 (build 06-2005 3 plugs connectors)
now..i am looking to see if i got this parts #'s right :
--Outside mirror M w/o glass,primed,left M1 UP TO 09/2005 51167897565
--Outside mirror M w/o glass,primed,right M1 UP TO 09/2005 51167897566
AND
--Mirror glass heated plane left M ELECTROCHROM UP TO 09/2005 51167897555
--Mirror glass heated convex right M ELECTROCHROM UP TO 09/2005 51167897556
my actual mirrors non m5 have all this options
Heating
Memory Position
Tilting-down
Ground lighting (puddle lamps)
AUTO dim
Passenger tilt down when in reverse
so.my question is:
1)are this the right parts to keep all the above functions?
2)can i do autofold from remote to them after i install on my car by codding ?THATS ACTUALY ONE OF THE MAIN REASON I WANT M5 MIRROWS![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

Honestly I have no idea I just wanted to make sure you knew the correct word. You never know when you'll need it ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Pretty sure you pronounce it in a way that's understandable depending on where you live. I have seen some people from other countries learn english in boston.... now that is funny. "my caw is runnin rowgh"

Hi Mate,
That all seems correct.
Let me know how you get on as it's something I am looking to do to my E60 as well but it's damn expensive to get the mirrors espicially folding and electrochrome etc.

The control switch by the driver side door? Why?
When I installed my M5 mirrors all I did was replace the mirror and retain all the functionality ... in addition after coding I can autofold from keyfob.

My understanding [based on what I read from another member who went thru this process] is that module needed to be replaced. It is possible I may have been misinformed.
Blastiwi, since you've gone thru this process without having to replace the module, then I stand corrected.
