How'd you get the car to defy gravity??? That's the coolest mod of all. All jokes aside, great job, and dedication.

i still don't get it. don't mean to offend you or shit on your thread or anything, but why make it "look" like an M5 when it isn't? is that not along the same lines as being a poser? again, excuse my ignorance, and i hope i'm not offending you or anyone else that did this conversion.

I thought the same thing too, but once he explained the tariff costs, it makes a little more sense.

The m5 look is worth the money spent, IMHO. We all want it. Given the CHOICE, we'd probably buy an m5 to save money-but in this particular case, he's doing the work himself and really just paying for the parts. Buying all the stuff FOR an m5, is a lot cheaper than buying one. I can only imagine what that cost would be. 300grand? 500?

To be honest everyone I don't take it offensive at all. I also agree its pretty much wanabeee m5. I almost traded the car in at the dealer for a pre-own m but the dealer only offered to give me 10k trade in value.... I forked out almost 40+k worth of hard work blood and sweat payments over the years.

also this is just my daily driver so keeping the v6 to dd save gas is good for me atm.

I'm sure it will end up looking nice. Your color scheme is pretty common now and I actually think it looked really nice in the pic you had when it was black. There aren't many folks that have a very nice and well kept black paint job on their car nowadays except a few members here. The A.W./ black theme is kinda boring to me now just cuz so many people have done it already including myself, although I chose to paint the car Starfire pearl off the ISF. It really is a smart way to fall in love with your car all over again tho if your car has been black since its birth. I think the trunk will probably be the most unique part tho. I've only seen maybe 3 VIS trunks on here . If you've got a little extra cash and you're not too attached to the black finish of your Miro's I would have them powder coated to a finish a couple shades lighter. Maybe even like a Hyper black. I think that would set it apart a little more and look pretty dope. You kinda lose a little of the design and look of the car when your wheels are straight black imho.

I just notice on my iPhone all the pictures are upside down also?!? But on my MacBook its normal.

Its primer had a couple small door dings and just decided to shave the paint and re primer then block sanded.

I would of went with a different color that stands out but my interior is brown i forget the name but its the basketball color brown and wanted the interior color flow with the paint color still.

Lol trust me guys I know what I set my self up for.. even my brother is bashing on me for having a fake m5 but what's done is done and it looks good to me . I have a sc300 with a 2jzgte single turbo swap and a 2001 gs300 in tear down for a 2jzgte single turbo manual swap that im also dumping money into. I have a weekend 2011 e350 but If the 530i comes out the way I imagine it might just take over and become my weekend worrier.

Thanks everyone for your honest opinions and keep em coming.
