I'm hoping to get some opinions on which wheel you guys prefer on a non-sport Black Sapphire Metallic with Mtech Kit.

167: Sporty with aggressive looking finish (the slits in the spokes look especially nice on black cars)

172: Elegant design but still looks strong due to the straight (non-curvy like the 167) spoke design

If I am to understand correctly, both wheels offer 60 lbs total weight savings. So, what do you guys think looks the best on the car described?

Thanks

If anyone wants to show some pics of the wheels on their respective cars, please do...

The 167s look better IMHO. I didn't like these at first, but now view these as of the best BMW wheel designs for the e60. The 172s are nice too but alittle too busy in E60 application. There is alot design stuff going on with the Bangle 5er and busy wheel might be too much.

BTW, who is the hottie on your sig??

167. Easier to clean and the side looks great. As for replica, buy at your own risk. Research, research, research.

I'm currently looking at these wheels on eBay. I'm not interested in replicas at all.

167's are my vote. Get a wheel that doesn't come standard on most E60's, except for the M6. That's my vote.

Love the UK pic of the 172's

I am in my 545 with the original 17" and dying to upgrade to 172... 172 OEM all the way - so guy parked right beside mine the other day in a 07 M-Sport with them...

IMHO the M6 wheels are for M6's (that said they look great on 5 so why not!)

Cheers
