hi all....i have a MY 06 530i base model and i was just wander if i need to do any cuts to fit a m-kit?
the reason i ask this ,is because the tehnical pdf file available on this forum is date 10/2004..so i am not sure if will apply to my year 2006 car....

Yes, the front inside wheel well area will need to be cut to accomodate the new front bumper. The rears as well. You'll see as you go along. Have a dremel with a cutting bit at hand and you'll be all set.

I know the rear had to be trimmed, but I didn't know about the front? What needs to be trimmed exactly and how much? I installed with a friend with no directions and we did not trim the front. How important is trimming the front?

I don't think you need to go out and buy a Dremel. I had a 4" grinder and a Dremel and I ended up using a good set snips for a more accurate cut on the fenders. I found with power tools they are very torquy and you do not get a good cut for such a small area, but to each his own.

Ya I used Sheers (sharp scissor-like snips) to cut mine
