I have a 2005 530d(mine's a 218bhp with the dpf) and it very quick and the torque is amazing, was thinking about getting it remapped but was put off it as I did'nt need it!The only way you'll find out is to drive both but it's a no contest as the 530d would blow the 520d away. ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

it`s actualy very quite, can`t hear it at all when crusing at any speed, push the loud pedal and it gets deisel noisy, if you listern carefully at 2000rpm you can hear the
turbo whistle as the revs build up which is really cool
, it roars quite nice too at mild pedal pressure, iv never had a car that can glide up hills like this one ![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)
as for mpg, it depends on how you drive, dont matter if you use sport mode or normal as the computer can compensate, if you have a lead foot like me you might as well
have a hole in bottom of the tank
but mine returns 42mpg on the motor way and around 19-26 around town, i use about ?25 worth of deisel every 5-6 days and i do 28 mile p/d

Diesel Particulate Filter - stops smoke from the exhaust. Cars with this have tail pipe straight out, cars without DPF have tailpipes that curve downwards towards the road.
