Lubro Moly Engine flush
#1
Hey Guys,
My car is approching 60k, and my good friend mechanic who does my oil change is recommending the Lubro Moly engine flush can on my next oil change. He's giving it to me for free, so it's not like he's trying to sell me anything. This will be my second oil change (7500k interval) since owning the car (Oct 08) and I'm now using BMW Oil (Not sure what was in it before).
For those who may not know, you put this stuff in the engine and run it for 10 minutes at idle BEFORE draining the dirty oil. He's recommending it because he can see that my oil cap's inside is a little dirty. While he doesn't believe I have any sludge, he says running this flush once in a while might help prevent sludge, and clean-up my internals a little bit.
I don't see that particular Lubro Moly product mentioned in this forum which is why I'm trying to find out more about this practice.
Thanks guys.
Greg
