lowering tips
why do any of you you care? don't answer that it was open ended question. if you dont like it go on to the next thread or leave. This is a Auto forum not an English Literature exam room. Americas future drives the same car as we do so "they're" doing something right. Sorry julioescobar1
hows it going you guys.... I own a 04 545, Im thinking about lowering it an inch front and back. I would love input from people that have been through it to give me a heads up certain stuff.. il start by asking will I need anything else besides an alignment after its lowered? hopefully there is no need for aftermarket parts like camber or caster kits... anyone with intel will be greatly appreciated
2. Coil overs: these are tricky most setups will require you possibly to run spacers if you exceed rim widths that are greater or equal to 8.5 inches, Also adjustable endlinks maybe needed as well to correct geometry of swaybar. Tire choices are based on which you choose also
3. Camber kits help but its hard sourcing parts for our 5 series. Not needed though use stock mounting

Hey i didn't mean anything by it, i wasn't calling calling him dumb or anything, it just drives my crazy when people talk like that.
Might be a dumb question. But what is the difference in paying now for koni or bilsteins with a "possible future event that may not even happen". If the stock struts wear out in 2, 3 or 4 years and if you even still own the car at the time then why not pay to replace them if and when they wear out. Please educate me if there is any other reason to do it now because it certainly does not make reasonable sense to do it prematurely. tks

Okay, I had to do it.
Are there any English teacher out there who can help me correct all the run-on sentences, poor spellings, punctuations and keep it concise?

Ha Ha,,,,,, we get the same problem in the UK, Not with miss spelling but with
Cleaver Peeps
I even had an Asian fella correct me,,,,,
Any way, bringing the thread back to the original question
I have a 530 sport 2006,,,, as I fitted 20" wheels it now rides a little high so I decided to get some Eibach Pro Springs, they lower the car 30mm front and 20/25mm at the rear, after fitting rear springs and then putting the wheels back on I was disappointed as it looked like it did before the springs were fitted, I then learn that as the car is an M Sport, lowering the car on springs will only lower it 10/12mm and not the 25mm as described on the advert

They would have been ideal if the car was an SE Model with out the sports pack,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
So,,,, it?s Bilstein Coilovers next week to get the ride height that I want and looking good.

1. If you go springs only they may wear out stock struts prematurely, it is best to match them with bilstein or koni struts.
2. Coil overs: these are tricky most setups will require you possibly to run spacers if you exceed rim widths that are greater or equal to 8.5 inches, Also adjustable endlinks maybe needed as well to correct geometry of swaybar. Tire choices are based on which you choose also

You shouldnt. there is a lot of range on the front. Make sure alignment shop has the good Hunter camera laser aligner
