Default Lower it or not?

Hi, I have a 2010 528 with stock suspension ( non-sport package ) and I just put some 20 inch wheels on it. Back is 20x10 with 275/35/20 and fronts are 20x8.5 with 245/35/20. My concern first of all is that I noticed that the part of the front strut where the springs sit on is riding right above the tire. I don't believe this part would go lower when installing lowering springs right? The top part of the strut would come down lower but the this bottom part should stay same height. Also I am wondering if I would need to have fenders rolled with this tire setup. I really don't want to go with stretched tires. I am thinking about getting H&R Sport Springs which is only a 1.3 inch drop I believe? Anyone with this wheel/tire size setup on H&R Sport springs with no rubbing issues?
Thanks in advanced for any info.

Yes, the bottom perch doesn't move and it compress from the top. Just be aware when you only do lowering springs and not change out your shocks your ride quality will get worse. If you can do both at the same time. What offsets are your wheels?

Yes I would be getting Koni yellows with HR Sport springs. The wheels are +20 offsets.

You should be okay. The only issue is you went with a slightly taller tire so on big bumps you might rub the fender liner.

nice car. I believe EVERY car should be lowered...no matter what. Good luck with it. If you buy springs AND shocks, it can get pricey. why not do a coilover setup?

Lower a sport package 335/535i in Colorado and you'll probably take that back.
The sport package already rides pretty low so with a 1" drop on top of that you'll be doing the snow plows a favor and clearing the streets for them. Although, that could make for an effortless 2nd job on the way to and from work.
