A month ago i got a low windshield fluid notification. I poured 1 gallon container of the blue windshield liquid and it did not top off, i wonder if it needs more than a gallon. I drove for one week and the got the low windshield fluid again, I did not notice any leak on driveway but when i turn on the AC i notice fog on the window in summer weather. So i was thinking is the reservoir larger than a gallon or is there a DIY for fix.

I think the reservoir is 5 liters which is 1.3 gallons.

Look in your owners manual it will tell you how much for sure. I know its more than a gallon. If you did not use it during this one month time then I would say that you do have a leak. Otherwise, if you are using it and don't realize how much which could be a lot and you happen to also have the headlight washers then the system will spray quite a bit and you could easily go through a gal. I've gone through a gal in day or two because of some nasty weather...

If you open the lid to the tank, there should be a sticker that tells you the size in liters. Most likely you have the 5l which will take a whole gallen when the low lamp comes on.

That might mean you have another leak - in the cooling system! Are you sure you are adding w/s washer fluid in the right place??

Aside from a possible tank leak have you checked all the connections and tubing running from the tank to the nozzles and headlight washers if you have them?
Are the nozzles all working normally with their usual spray amounts?
The tank itself is definitely more than one gallon. I normally add 3.78L (1 US gal) even before the iDrive advises me. The 5L figure makes sense.
The pic shows the tank in the front corner in front of the left wheel well. I use Rain-X fluid which is yellow.

This.

I had the same problem. I checked the hoses, connections, and reservoir for leaks but ultimately it turned out to be the pump. Good news though; the part doesn't cost a whole lot, even from the stealer.
