Loose Door Trim
#1
Hi all,
I've noticed the black shadow trim on my 530i off passenger door was lifted at one end. It's the "straight" trim piece on a door where glass goes into. I started mokeying around with it and it popped out from the door. I was wondering if I should use epoxy to keep it from lifting again. There's no locking mechanicsm on the trim piece, just a long U-shape rubber that stuck to the door by friction.

It's weird I've seen this happening on many E60's, especially on the passenger's side.
I'd recommend pushing it just back and if that doesn't hold it, then using a tiny spot of some adhesive silicone or similar. Anyway, something that doesn't become very hard when dried. So that the trim could be removed sometime if necessary.
