Since voicerecognition is not available over here I have to use the I-Drive for getting the mapscreen.
When I have a phonecall it goes to the communicationscreen but when I hang up it stays there. On my old 330 it would automatically go back to the navigation screen so I could see the map again. Is there a way to get back there quickly?? Now I first have to go to navigation. Have three clicks downwords and push to get the map back. I am getting used to it but it would be more convenient if it would do it automatically or with one push on a button.
Anybody have a faster way to do this??
TIA

When you are making a call you can go back to the map screen, even while you're talking on the phone. Just move the idrive controller to the right and hold it there for two seconds and then let it go - you don't even need to look at it while doing it...

BTW does this shortcut also work when you are in the mainscreen??? (also posted it in the other thread). I like to look at the map even when navigation is not neccesary.

That's good enough for me! How did you guys find this?? I would never ever think of pushing the I-Drive knob to the right, lower, top or left for an extended period of time hoping something happens.. You must be pioneers..

This is even better.. For me this shows the software engineers at bmw actually did some thinking while developing I-Drive..
