Has anyone ever tried Bimmian.com for a custom steering wheel on their E60? I am considering trying them as I keep hitting dead-ends searching for a thicker steering wheel for my '06 550i. Did BMW not make an M-sport wheel that will fit my car?
From what I can tell, their operation looks pretty legitimate as they take the cores of stock wheels and then modify them to make them thicker and flat at the bottom. Would love to hear if anyone has actual experience dealing with this company.

I would love to have one of those, I just can't justify dropping a grand on one though. And then when you think about what goes into it. It's mainly the labor which really shouldn't be that much. But I guess it comes down to more of the knowledge and experience that jacks the price.

I am also going to modify my steering wheel. Looked in Bimmian wheel but they only do carbons. I want mine in leather, Alcantara and carbon combination. Scmiedmann does currie this one but I want it little bit deferent. I found DTC custom wheels can do it the way I like it. It will cost 1k though I think the feel and look justifies the price.
