Have you tried contacting a few local dealers? They may be aware of customers who want to unload their leases.

Thanks everyone for thinking of me on this.

To the OP, yes I have a 2009 550i Sport with steptronic that is in excellent condition that is available for lease assumption. My reason is simple: I love power and, while the 550's 360 bhp is plenty powerful for any conceivable situation, I really do want the full 500 bhp that the M5 offers if I can find a decent one to assume its lease.

My ride is described in my signature -- a 2009 Steptronic 550i Sport with carbon black exterior and natural brown interior. My lease ends in March of 2012. I did a 18K miles per year lease so your total allowed miles for the lease are 54,000. I currently have about 14,500 miles on my 550 (yes driving it is addictive). The car has brand new rear summer performance tires (Hankook Ventus V12 Evos) as I wore out the OEM rear summer Contis at about 11,500 miles. The front OEM Contis have about another 3K miles on them. The car is currently rolling on my winter wheels and tires (which do not come with the car). The only major problem I have had with the car is that I had to have the starter replaced this summer.

I got an excellent deal on the lease so the payment is very reasonable given the fact that we are dealing with a car that stickered for over $71K. The only thing I can't do (wife won't let me ) is offer an incentive. I (thankfully) am lucky to have a stable job situation and don't need to dump the car for economic reasons. if my car doesn't suit you, another option is to look on leasetrader.com or swapalease.com where some 550 leasees may be offering large incentives. .
Many NYC area members have seen my ride at meets so they can vouch for the fact that I love that car and keep it in excellent condition.

If you are interested, PM me.

Best,

Scott

PS, the car is located in east midtown Manhattan. It is (and has always been) garaged when I am not using it.

Maybe Craig. I guess we'll find out soon.

How's your 535 holding up? Didn't you have a HPFP issue?

Still am... you can see my latest dealership rant about the HPFP in another thread from yesterday (too lazy to look). I was going to buy wheels, but i bought a watch instead. I didnt even think about modding the car the month i was away from the forums, now the bug is back.

For those of you cant stop the mod bug but want to, I offer a solution. Don't come to e60.net!

Sorry to hear about the continuing HPFP issues you are experiencing.

Your car is just what I was looking for had you leased it 6 months earlier. I was hoping to buy enough time to get in at the beginning of the 2012 model year in Sept 2011. I haye been looking on swapalease and leasetrader but have not found the right car yet. Thanks.
