Both Concert Hall and Theatre sound so good, I can't decide which is better...or is there even a difference in sound?

Is anyone else disapointed by the Logic 7 modes?

1st of all, there's only two modes - Concert Hall and Theater.
2nd of all, the sound compared to normal mode is way too subtle.

I have a 6 yr old Yamaha Receiver at home that has over 10 DSP settings, such as Concert Hall, Stadium, Church, Rock Concert, Jazz Club, Disco, Sports, etc. Each mode sounds COMPLETELY different - due to reverb, delay, room size, etc.

I can barely tell the difference between the Logic 7 modes...
I just don't BELIEVE that I'm inside a Concert Hall or Theater

BTW, I just leave it on normal mode now.

I can tell a huge difference between all 3 modes.

I use Concert Hall, because this is the mode with the best imaging for music. Theater is too biased towards the center channel. Concert Hall opens up the soundstage wider than theater, but still maintains a solid front image.

Normal mode is awful for me. Sounds like the audio is coming from behind me. I tried adjusting the balance and fader, but to no avail.

I just leave it in Concert Hall.

I like concert hall for some music, but mostly it has a bit too much of an echo for me, so I am usually set to normal.

Ditto for me too, but I'll just say it sounds better to me.

I prefer the Concert mode. Music sounds more alive and spacious (bigger soundstage).

I'm told that the listening experience is in 360 degrees! Is that true? I can't wait to hear it! I got a production number and VIN today! Should be built by mid January! tick...tock...

I had tried them both (two - very impressive...) for a while. I can't hear any difference at all, but then I am not audiophile...

Use both modes, never off...I think that the difference is small, more biased centre speaker like 5.1 when you use theatre mode. I think this would be good if you had a DVD running on the screen, like a Home Cinema. Regardles L7 is good IMHO.
