My FM radio does not work when driving to work in the morning but works fine in the afternoon. Is there a timing
default in the system? I bought the car used a couple of months ago and have not activated the XM-Sirius Radio.
The car is a 2005 545 with 49,000 miles. I hade it checked out and all computer updates had been performed.

OH shux...didnt your sales rep tell you the full day FM radio is optional? LOL j/K This makes no sense, you should take it to your local stealership and have them look at it. I have issues with my Sirius radio going out all of the time on my 08 535i and it turned out to be a programming issue much like everything else I have ever had problems with.

CD works fine. I have not tried the AM. I will try in the morning

That is really weird. FM propagation is not nearly as atmospherically dependent as AM. It is very common to have much better AM range at night than in the day.
