With any new stereo system, for some reason I give a great deal of consideration to the FIRST song I ever play on it. Somehow, this cements my impression of the system for all eternity. For example, countless stereos in the mid 80s were test driven with Dire Straits ?Brother?s in Arms?, one of the first fully DDD compact disks recorded. Phenominal sound fidelity for its time. With my current A4, the inagural drive with the BOSE was "Who are you" by The Who.

When my new ride shows up at the end of September, what should be my inaugural anthem?

red hot chilli peppers - can't stop

pan!c at the disco - i write sins not tragedies

nelly furtado - wait for you
-glow

anthony hamilton - dear life

all these songs, i test out on new inhouse stereo/surround systems which i have installed. I have selected these to convey the mids, vocals, highs, mid-lows, and deep lows. Each song has exelent clarity (given that you get a good quality version). If possible, burn an mp3 compressed cd and play it on the cd player in the car's dash. Each song has its own strong frequency range. Enjoy!
