looks awesome, i was thinking of doing the same. What colour did you paint your grille? did you use a clear coat, and if you did how many?

Hope you guys had a great weekend! I did a little project mod last Saturday. I want to thank Olli for his fantastic DIY posting on the grill removal. So instead of "blacking out" everything, I did something different to complement my wheels. I've attached pictures of the "before and after". Your feedback(good or bad) is greatly appreciated
Thanks very much for the feedback, guys! For now, until our economy gets better, my next little mod is black-out badge.

Your thoughts on "blacking out" my current wheels?

Thanks, man! As oppose to blacking out everything, I left the slats untouched and painted the lip part of the grill matte black. I applied two coats of primer and three coats of matte black.

Thanks! Sand off the chrome and apply two coats of primer. Please keep in mind that the tabs on the grill could easily break. Good luck, bro!

I honestly don't know what these were for but I'm going to quote JeffNJ

"I never realized this before but the hole for Night Vision in the grill is a great place to mount an automatic weapon or small caliper rocket launcher."
