Ok, I tried to push my switch in last night... pushed rather hard on it, and it didn't budge... Can it be rotated in the "in" position? Is it tough at first to get recessed? Anyone have a pic of a recessed switch?

Be careful about pushing it in. I've read posts where people pushed it in and it it wouldn't come back out and the dealer needed to replace it.
So I've been playing with it and it still works fine.
No problems at all.

Yes, it can be rotated when pushed in.

I believe that this only works on EU cars. I had a demo that the switch pushed in but, when I tried on my car it did not work. Any US Spec driver that can push their switch in?

Yep, and thank goodness. Mine has been pushed in since day one. It has always been a slight irritation that I could not easily locate the light switch by touch. After looking at the picture, I looked at mine which was a duplicate. I tugged firmly and out it popped. I punched in and in it went in. I tugged it out again, liked it much better in that position, and left it. Thanks for the picture and bringing this to my attention. I sometimes like to run with the cool Angel Eyes.

Sometimes I do the same, but I leave it in the "in" position and just turn it while it's "in".
