My coulmn (both top and bottom sections) were changed beacuse of a clunking sound that travelled up the column first thing in the morning and when going uneven surfaces at slow speed.

CAN BUS faults are not easy to find. They have to hook up oscilloscopes to the various harnesses to try and found where the fault is.

I will be surpised if I get my car back before Wednesday!!

Hi Streak,
Sorry to hear.

Did you have time to determine if the steering problem is at least fixed?

Only had the car for 24hrs. Steering seemed to be a bit better.

How have you found things since your visit to the dealer?

I had recently a lights faillure.

The car remained there for 2 days, they concluded that the battery negative cable (black) wasn't connected right, it wasn?t tight enough

The external lights, interior lights, radio were working bad, and the explanation was that with the bad battery connection the computer that manages all the electric power to different computers and electric parts was shutting down some modules when detecting the electric faillure to protect the main computers and electric parts to be possible to drive the car.

I had no malfunction message at all.

Sorry, I thought I had given the update.
The light module is located as part of the light switch.
The harness going to it has a multi pin plug.
One of the individual pins in this mutli pin plug had pushed back and was not making proper contact.

They fixed this and all was OK.
