I guess he did: "the light under the mirror normally". What do you mean? He is talking about exterior mirror lights.

My message was addressed to the poster which advised to check in iDrive, "Pathway lighting", which is something completely different, and has nothing to do with mirror lights the original poster asked about.

He said "under the mirror" not "under the mirrors". Does he actually mean the interior single mirror, and the light is the red flashing security light? Maybe the car is not locking and arming the alarm properly? It would be much better if questions were well written so it was clear what the problem was rather than lots of speculation and assumptions

You are right. Funny... There is a light under the mirror and there are lights under the mirrors too.

Pathway lighting activates head lights and interior lights for approximately 40 seconds. My apologies if I misunderstood the
question.

This has nothing to do with mirror lights. It's about the headlamps, turned off, after you leave the car.
Also interior lighting!

Could it be the extended lights package?

yes i had that, and still get it, but i think this is quite normal, do the lights come on around the back seating lights?

i noticed it as normal, however once i have locked the car they turn off slowly, usually in few seconds after the locking has happened
