I guess he did: "the light under the mirror normally". What do you mean? He is talking about exterior mirror lights.
My message was addressed to the poster which advised to check in iDrive, "Pathway lighting", which is something completely different, and has nothing to do with mirror lights the original poster asked about.

yes i had that, and still get it, but i think this is quite normal, do the lights come on around the back seating lights?
i noticed it as normal, however once i have locked the car they turn off slowly, usually in few seconds after the locking has happened
