Ok! So i recently purchased a few things....

55W DDM HID's (great light output)
6000K H8 Bulbs for my fogs with my old 35W ddm ballasts

R dash type LED License plate housing.

All of the above looks GREAT!!!! However...it seems that my los/fogs are a little too blue for my license plate lights....

I did notice that the "stick" that is attached to the bulbs is blue (which seem to exist on 8000K bulbs). I'm starting to think that maybe ddm sent me 8000k instead of 6000k bulbs.

Whatever the case my question is.....

Should I get a set of 5000K Lo's and Fogs to use with these license plate led housings....

I would first check with DDM, they may have sent the wrong bulbs. If you ordered 6000K there really shouldn't be a hint of blue on it. I have 6000K fogs and they are pure white. Let them know about the "stick" and they can maybe send you another one. The part that sucks is having to return the fogs cause I know how though it was to get them in there in the first place, or least it was for me.

BTW, what is the color temperature of the DDM 55W?

Ill def be giving ddm a call today...The 55W are actually "6000K" as well....also with a blue "stick"...which could potentially make them 8000k.

I would imagine this is a problem that many people have...color matching...as it were!

I'm wondering...do Lci halogen projectors have a light blue coating? It seems my fogs have less blue then my Los.

i think in general the DDM HID kits are bluer than most. i put a set of 6000k DDM HIDs on my parent's Corolla and they are bluer than my 6000k D1S bulbs on my 5.

I went and ordered 5000k bulbs...also..got around to cutting my bulb holders today so might get to finish that AE project
