I bet he's getting a non-front license plate ticket when parking at the meter? If so, you need to park in a garage where the meter maids won't come after you.

now that is sweet.
i am totally down for this.

If you need to use a front license plate who cares how it's mounted. It doesn't make a difference at all unless you're planning to move somewhere where you don't need it.

That sucks! I've had nothing on my front end for the last 6 months and have yet to get a ticket....knock on wood. I can't imagine putting a plate on the front. Yuck!

sucks man but the law is the law, I'm glad where I'm from the government decided that we don't need front plates anymore so since 2004 cars have been looking much better from the front.

I don't have a front license plate like many of us don't on the M-kit. I keep getting tickets for that, and in San Francisco they're $100 each!
Where are you getting your tickets at? I'm on the Peninsula, and haven't been bothered. I purchased the car used and it didn't have a front mount or a plate. I only have the rear one.

Could always just use some double sided 3m tape to mount as well...

www.switfmotorsports.com check out their hideaway bracket.... can pop it out when you park, then hide your plate when you drive (or vise versa)... Pretty sweet contraption! I ordered one yesterday.

I am suprised that in the peoples republic of SF they have the time to issue tickets for no front plate. This fourum jinxed me, I never got pulled over till I bragged about it, and now I have been stopped twice, without getting a ticket. But I am doing something about it, and wrote an amedment to Idaho Code to state "EXEMPTIONS: Vehicles that require alteration from factory condition, or have no provision for the display of a license plate as required in this section." I will run the bill in the next legislative session, and it will be law July 1st, then you can move to Idaho and not worry about it.
