I am also have no frame around my plate. In AZ, we are only required the rear plate, so I don't really see the point in putting a frame in the back. Especially since that area was created and designed just for the plate. Just my .02 as well.

I added a nice thin black frame with a smoke protective shield, i think it goes to the smooth black lines of my car..

My vote is a carbon fiber version. Bought mine from Bavarian Autosport.

I'm going to have the CHP 11-99 Foudation frame on my 550 when I get the car. If you're in Ca its a great foundation to support California Highway Patrol Officers. Plus its tax deductable and if you just happen to be speeding they usually let you off with a warning.
