Let me start a new heated debate on Color & Seats!

OK.......I have Titanium Gray II with Auburn Comfort Seats.......so there's my recomendation.?
I have ALWAYS had second thoughts with my other cars months down the line and thought that if I were to get another one I would get another exterior and/or interior color.? However, this is the first time in my life that if I were to order a new E60 now it would be the exact same color combo.? I love Titanium Gray II and I am very impressed/pleased/relieved with Auburn.? I though it would be too orangy, but it's not.
Some more comments about Titanium Gray and Silver Gray:
Just like all of us here the first official pictures of the E60 that I saw was of the Silver Gray car.? I loved that color in the pictures.? Then in May of 2003 I was at the Cannes Film Festival for work and BMW had sent about a dozen or more pre-production E60 530's there for the world premier.? They were all Silver Gray with type 124 wheels and Shadowline trim.? Again, after seeing it in person I loved that color even more.? After the E60's started arriving here in the states I saw more and more Silver Gray's and I did not think that they were as nice as I had previously thought.? One big problem is that most of them did not have the sports pack which meant no Shadowline trim, which in my opinion makes a HUGE difference in the look.? It does so in all colors, but for some reason even more with the Silver Gray.? I don't think that Silver Gray looks good with chrome trim.
At that time I saw one of the early production E60 Titanium Gray's, which WAS NOT Titanium Gray II, just the original Titanium Gray (I).? I liked it a lot but thought that it had a greenish tint in certain lighting, which I did not like.? After a few months of trying to decide which color I liked BMW changed the Titanium Gray to titanium Gray II, which had almost NONE of the green tint that I did not like.? So I kept going to different dealers at different times of day in order to see what it looked like in all lighting conditions......and that did it.....I was sure that out of the stock E60 colors I like the Titanium Gray II best (I still tried ordering the Stratus Gray as special order, but as usual BMW NA said no).
So to summerize.......I would still get Titanium Gray II if I were to do it again.......If you get the Silver Gray I would recommend the Sports package so that it would come with Shadowline instead of chrome window trim.
Here are a couple of links with pictures of my car:

In your link, while it is a very rich color, indeed, it does look rather dark. is that just the photos?
A couple of more things to add:
1. I generally DO NOT LIKE darker colors, but Titnium Gray is different. It is not as dark as...say Graphite or Charcoal, AND it has a unique combination of sporty AND elegant look that I don't see in the other colors.
2. As I said in my post above I DID see the greenish tint in the early Titanium Gray (I) E60's which turned me off completely. However, you would have to work really hard to see any greenish tint in the Titanium Gray II. After all these months of living with the car and seeing it in all lighting conditions I just don't see the greenish tint......and if there is any it must be so negligible that I don't notice it. I know for a fact (from personal experience) that many BMW salesmen don't even know that there have been two different Titanium Grays on the E60. They saw the earlier one with the greenish tint and think that the current TG II is the same.
Again, good luck with your decision
You are guaranteed to get Titanium Gray II......there were only a couple of months of production in 2003 that had titanium Gray I. All of 2004 calender year and definately the 2005 ones are Titanium Gray II. You can confirm it by looking under the hood at the paint code label. Titanium Gray II should be "A36", while TG I was something in the 800's (did not have a letter as the first character of the code).
the pictures in the first link do look darker than the car really is.....the second link is more accurate as far as the color goes. I used two different cameres and that is probably why they are different.
hope to hear more, but thanks so far... pics are worth 1000 words! (where did i hear that before?)..
Roday, thanks for the details.. I was leaning towards the titan. grey anyway, but the green tint had me thrown.. and ironically, the salesperson said just as you stated, that many people comment on the green.. but I didn't notice any at all.. in day or night..
I don't want to wait for the car to arrive, but might as well get what I want. speaking of which, the seats..I'd have to order the car to get the seats. I would also add Cold Weather Package, because you know how much we need it here in Sunny South Florida. (my wife is always cold, go figure!)... but, than I wait 2 months.. and I am still not sold on the comfort seats..
does anyone not like their comfort seats?

1997 528i E39 Arctic Silver, Black interior, Angel Eyes, 17" Crosspoke Composite 5 Wheels, 6-CD Changer.
Just before I ordered my E60, I was also waffling between Silver Gray and
Titanium Gray. Most of the time I think the Silver Gray looks better in the
daylight because the lighter color brings out the lines and shape better.
But at night and twilight, the Titanium Gray looks more elegant. I really
love both colors, but eventually I chose Titanium Gray because I wanted a
more different color than my current car (Arctic Silver-like Titanium Silver E39).
Also, rodybmw's pix influenced me a lot. So much that I ordered the Retrofit
M-Aerodynamics Kit as well.
Silver Gray is obviously more popular. I see E60s that color everywhere.
But I think Titanium Gray/Charcoal/Dark Gray car color is up and coming.
Have fun wassy picking a color. You can't lose when you put it on a E60!

While silver gray is more popular - the beige interior combo is rather rare - though sales brochure profile this combination. I ordered this and find it glamorus with many compliments. I previously had an E39 with slate green and stone green interior/with contrasting black door caps and carpet in black. The slate green was too 'Maimi' a color as my wife would say - loved the interior and was heavily temped to get the auburn for the two tone treatment - orange tone threw me off - I wanted baseball glove. Decided on the advice of my salesman to order the silver/beige. Some at the dealer had not seen this - as many dealers do not order this combo - I love it. I figure the marketing folks had there choice of any combo - they chose the optimal combo that optimized the body shape - like titanium/silver did that for the E39. Comfort seats - a must - but take time to custom tune to your torso - so many adjsutments...

Wassy,
As I said, many salespersons that I have talked to (even to this day) had no idea that the E60 has had TG and TG 2. Many have noticed the greenish tint i TG (I) E60's and thing that the current TG is the same and therefore must have the greenish tint.
As far as the Comfort seats go, I love them. I have had sport seats in all of my BMW's for the past 21 years and really like the shape and support of the sport seats. However, the comfort seat has the two things that I like in sport seats most: side bolsters and the extendable front section of the seat cushion. Not only does it have side bolsters but the are adjustable so that if you adjust them in they "hug" you much tighter than the sport seats do. They provide more lateral support than any of my past sport seats have provided (including my M3). All this combined with the comfort feature convinced me to go for the comfort seats. Another issue was that at the time that I was considering which seats to get the lumbar support was a $400 option which I would have ordered even if I got the sport seats. This made upgrade to Comfort only an additional $800, not $1200.
As others have said, you have to live with the seats for a while in orderd to find the optimum adjustments for you. The only thing that wold make it a better seat would be the Active Seat option, but we don't get that here in the US.
Active seats... is this the same kind of feature they have in the Benz E-series where the edge of the seat moves inward to support you during a turn? I loved this in the E500 I test-drove, too bad the the acceleration felt like I was stomping on a wet towel...
as always, I know I can count on my friends here at E60.net!!
Right now, I'm leaning towards the Titanium Grey.. As for Comfort Seats, well, I am going to have the dealer do a locate and see if anything is nearby..
although I didn't spend much time with them, to me, at least, it felt like the bottom bolsters still restricted my legs, as the sports seats do, from side to side, and THAT is what I was trying to move away from. If that remains, then for me, I don't see any real reason to go out of my way to get comfort..
However, with me, all things are possible!
