Today with a heavy heart, I let the E60 go. My E60 was my first car, I got it about 3 years ago, enjoyed EVERY moment in it. Did some very foolish things in it, yet always brought the car back in one piece . My whole family enjoyed the car. Problem free three years, only had three issues, the LCI light failed, ticking lifters and steering angle sensor........didn't cost me a a dime to fix (warranty FTW). My warranty had ended in August and CPO kicked in from August.

I had really wanted the F10, I test drove one last week, the new F10 handles LIKE A BOAT compared to my E60, I was turned off.....I was offered a good deal on one, unfortunately production for the 2012 had stopped so I was not willing to pay another $4k to find a subpar car that the dealer had.

I had walked into the Audi dealer next door and saw the new A6......a very SICK looking car IMO, the premium plus model was fine for me, it had more power when comparing to the 2012 528i, better features and a somewhat better price. Gave the F10 one more chance last Wednesday and no dice, went to a Audi dealer in Edison and managed to get one of the last 2012 A6's. Black on black, fully loaded minus sport package. Did come with the 18's though. '

I had always said I would keep my E60 forever, funny how that changed. I loved my N52 engine, so silky smooth. I had pretty much ZERO problems. I shed a few tears when I saw them driving my E60 away. . Funny thing, this morning my TPM module malfunctioned before entering the Audi dealer....almost like if my car was trying its best to not get traded in .

I had a great time on here, met some great people, enjoyed many meets. I learned a lot about cars in general from this forum, when I first joined I didn't know anything about them. In the last 3 years I have learned a lot. I really enjoyed my E60, I REALLY HOPE the next owner will take care of my car as I took care of it. I hope it goes into good hands. Really going to miss it.

The Audi sure is nice, it handles good, its very smooth, lots of luxury and tech, but its no BMW that is for sure.

I hope to return one day, I want to pick up an older 04-05 E60 one day as my "project" or "daily" as they get cheaper, but we will see.

Thanks again guys, I had a great time here, awesome community. I will keep checking in, always love to see some clean E60's....farewell!

That's a problem any car want to be BMW but will not happen. Even F 328 finished first compare to Audi at fourth spot. Guess which car was second?
It's a OVLOV

I have no idea what you just said. But I think you are saying no car will ever drive like BMW, please go drive the F10, and go drive the Audi, you will see which is better. We have a E90 328xi in the family, I feel like the A6 handles much better when compared to 328xi.

aretardeddecision

You've gone from one of the best looking cars, to one of the worst . You should have gone for the A5 if anything!

Did you take all your mods off?

Thanks for the comments guys. I personally think the car is gorgeous. I just got back and driving at night....its awesome, Audi really did the interior right, the ambient lighting, the whole cluster and layout of the dash is gorgeous. As far as mods go, I removed some stuff. Most of it stayed on though. When I was trading my car into BMW for the F10 they wanted EVERYTHING off, Audi guys, well they did not even give a damn.

Overall I am happy with the car (so far), its getting great MPG, power is decent, handling is decent, looks are amazing, interior is amazing, the tech in the car is amazing. Lets hope the car stays trouble free!

I drove the F10 528i, and for kicks, F10 535i. Both were non sport.
