I'm with DrLev, Our 535i is equiped with comfort seats & I drove 660mls (S. Florida to Atl. GA) with 3 stops! & the return on 4 stops....and that was with a 3 1/2 y/o in the back seat. I was never able to go more than 200mls in our E39 530i.
BTW thanks DrLev for the wheel care tips, & great pics.

Wow i almost pick the GS i like the body style too but it lacked handling compared to the 5 series. I'm surprise Lexus had reliability issues, but great choice, D "535" . WElcome to the club.

Given the way things are going for Ford, it may be a good thing for me that they aren't still making Broncos.

You would have had to lemon it and get a E60.

A Lexus Lemon.. wow!
I've had a GS300 Sport myself, and it was so reliable i used to will it to go wrong just to be 'interesting' - but, no, it just kept going and going - right up to 100,000 miles, and then kept going.. and going... zzz
So, i got me an E55 AMG - and boy was that a wake up call! I wore the magnetic strip off my credit card at the main dealer (it was just out of warranty when i bought it), and was on first name terms with every technician there. More faults than San Andreas, and more Gremlins than all the films put together. I almost hugged the Sales Manager when he offered to straight buy it from me, and it then went straight on their forecourt.. (yes, i was rather confused about that one too!)
Then to my brand new 535d, which hasn't yet skipped a beat. I'm not exactly a ballerina on the throttle either, but it refuses to give me less than 27mpg average, which is amazing really for such a lump of a car!

An hour test drive (or longer) isn't unheard of, it just depends on your relationship with the dealer and how badly they're trying to sell you a car.
A lemon lexus might be a collector's item...

BTW how did you get it in production the next day after signing and delivery within the month so quickly?
