My Ride: 2005 545i Titanium Silver/Black/Poplar: Steptronic, Sport, Cold Weather, Premium Sound, Comfort Seats, Sat Radio, NAV & Shades
I was at my dealer today trying to order the Leather I-Drive knob. He had a hard time finding the part number but eventually did. He said he could get me one but he was told it has discontinued because the leather has been peeling off on alot of them.
Have any of you with this knob had a problem with the leather peeling off?

Perhaps they'll replace it with the new controller on the M5!

Yes only the top is covered, and I think it is always black so no auburn, beige etc, then why?

I will be keeping my aluminum knob. Not every update is for the better.
