I am currently looking at an 08 535i. It is an "MSO" i guess it was owned by bmw for whatever, maybe an bmw exec drove it, dont know. This car has 8,000 miles on in and is of course flawless and is being leased as new. i am turning in my 99 maxima with 156K miles on it and they are giving me 2500 bucks. So with $2500 bucks, the lease is going to run me 628 a month, I told the salesman I would do it for $600 a month. its a 36 month lease 12K miles a year. this car has everything except navi and harmon kardon. Sticker on the car was originally around 59-60K. the residual is .57 (or however many zeros are in front of it) and the money factor is .025 (or however many zeros). they are selling the car for about 46K
those of you who know bmws... is this a good deal? i know enough about bmws to know that i want one. I know a little about leasing...
please help. I already got an insurance quote and i am thinking about going back to the dealership tomorrow.

its a dark grey metallic with the black dakota interior
its got the sport package, premium package and ipod adapter.
i want to lease because i want to keep my payments lower. i just started my new career. its solid and pays well, but i just got out of the military after 7 years. i am used to not having money, so 600 a month seems enough for me...

this dealer has a handful of these "mfo" cars. this is the last 535. they have two 528s left, they are offering for $1000 down 599 a month. i have looked into these cars. its a solid safe deal. besides, if its a lemon, i am leasing it, bmw still owns it.

DONT DO IT!!!!
What the stealerships and BMW NA dont tell you is these cars are not eligible for re-certicication thus the resale value goes down. I bought one (06 530i) and loved the car so much that when it was time to consider re-certification for 100K mile warranty, BMW NA denied it. It turns out BMA NA gives stealerships awesome deals to unload these cars they have used for testing etc. They told me the car was used on some track in NC and goes through such extensive stress they do not re-certify. Funny thing is I have less problems with that 530 than I do with my new 08 535i.
After fighting with BMA NA and the stealership, BMW NA would not budge so the dealer ate the cost and gave me a 3rd party extended warranty for free...which has same deductable and actually covers more items.

IMO, pass on this deal....
with '09's on the lots now, you should be able to find a new '08 for a better price...not to mention a clean history...peace of mind if priceless....GL with your search...
