It sure dosen't look that normal, but some leeks are OK I guess.. Your engine seems pretty dirty to, and oil sucks op the dust around it, which is what you can see...

I would clean it, and if it's comming back, go visit your dealer again...

Exactly. It should not leak that much

Maybe it was too full and some fluid leaked out under heavy cornering? That sure is a lot of sand stuck to it -- man there must be some harsh conditions over there!

I'd check the level of the fluid and if it's within a normal level, I wouldn't worry...

Not normal IMO, but I don't really know the circumstances. Has the fluid been filled before? Did the condition began when the car was new?

No leaks are normal except for the A/C moist.

Doesn't look normal to me. My car is nearly a year old and that area is very clean. Looks like you've had some sand storms, but I'd say there's too much moisture in that area. Of course, it never gets to 44 degrees celcius here!

Mine spills out a little all the time but not that much. BUT I do clean it off every time I wash the car so over time I might can accumulate that much. *shrugs*

This happens on both the E60 and MINI.

Clean it carefully and make sure that there is an "O" ring on the cap. It could be missing. Then look for cracks in the housing and cap. That is plasitc and if you screw the cap down too tight, it can crack/split. I had this happen with the thermostat housing near the air bleed in my 528i. I lost coolant, but only when it got hot.
