Default Lci tail light rod brightness

I install the lci tail lights with 6.1 cable but as you see they are not so bright in day time and hardly noticeable? Is this the way the Light during day?, I ve seen them on other e60 at day time and they look much much brighter. What is the problem. I was thinking to lightly tint them to make them more visible. Need your advise
Thanks

Is the sun shining right at them? If so, it will look less bright. If the son is facing the front of the car then they should be brighter.

Actually it was cloudy when I took the pic. You even can not see it from the angel
Any suggestions how to make them brither? Kind of disappointed becoase this mod is not cheep and is just for look and does not make sense to keep it if not visible.

Take more shots for us? That definitely looks a bit on the dimmer side.

Also, tinting it will not make it more visible... if it's blacked out from the inside on the other hand...

And as you can see from that pic they are not on all the way. I see the other pictures of the light and they have 5 rods mine only has 4. Is the deference euro and us lights?

I'm pretty sure you have 5 rods. The one at the top is not very visible in that shot.

For comparison I took a couple of shots of mine. These are Euro-spec LCI Tails w/6.1 cables. These are with the brake pedal depressed, so brake lights on. Sun is directly overhead. I agree that the rods are not that bright, however when you are down at car level like someone behind you would be, they are certainly visible. The top bar across the windshield is highly visible and the center round lights inside of the bars are bright.

And anytime after dusk, they look OUTSTANDING!
3rd pic at night is just with parking lights on, no brake on.

Nah, I agree with you. Unless your camera is just that bad at capturing (since pictures are suppose to make them look brighter than they actually are).

Maybe you got a defective set or something?

This is how mine looks, of course, I modded my tails so it looks a little different than your's:

Yours look great. What did you do with tail lights. Did you just tint it?
Thanks
