My Ride: 2006 Titanium Silver 550i, with all the bells and whistles!!
Default

I used to pride myself on the fact that I could tell the difference between a 'pre-face lift' and 'face lift' E46. I didn't even know about this when I bought my 325.

I am looking for a side by side comparison between the original E60 and the LCI E60. Anyone? What about a list of the improvements? I have been able to figure out that my car has not gone through a life cycle improvement (or impulse???) because that happened in 2008.

What are the visual indicators for this?

TIA

Different interior.

Different Shifter.

Front reflectors on the bumper on the LCI compared to non-LCI.

The Headlights for the LCI has clear corners. Compared to the old headlights, which were either silver or amber.

The taillights have light rods on the LCI and LED turn signals. The 04-07 has bulbs and no LED's.

I think that's most of it. Visually.

There's another difference, although so small that it's difficult to see, even when pointed out. In the LCI model, there's a sheetmetal indentation in the area where the rear license plate is attached. The pre-LCI has the indentationa also, but it's much less noticeable.

How about the fact that one has the mean, upset/frawn look grill (older cars) and the new ones have a smily face grill .

Also in the 08 LCI's the angel eyes are much brighter then the pre LCI's.
