LCI Headlight Condensation after BMW Service
Hello,
Today has been a terrible day with my 2008 BMW 535i. I picked it up form Sterling BMW only to find a few issues. I took it in for the bearing lifters because the check engine light came on for that. They returned the car to me with headlight condensation and the service engineer forgot to add oil even as the iDrive was bitching about low oil level. Clearly this "service" was not "service".
As far as the headlight problem, I noticed the BACK COVER was broken and slightly open. Not the cover for the angel eyes, the big plastic cover for the headlight. I changed my angel eyes this weekend to the DTEC V7's and everything went fine. I didn't notice the back cover broken. IT must have been from the previous owner. Here is a picture of my condensation, it's pretty damn bad. I've washed the car many times and this has never happened. The seals look ok.
Does anything think this is purely a problem of the back cover not being sealed? Thanks.

Yeah they washed it. The back cover of the headlight is already practically off. It's open by about 4 centimeters. THe clips for the cover were previously broken and therefore the cover was slightly open. (Note: not the angel eye circle cover, the other bigger one for the headlight).
I ordered a replacement cover. I'll try the blow dry thing tomorrow. Thanks
