I had a six speed manual
I wasn't (and still am not) sure if the "new" e60 auto is entirely new to BMW models.

Quite possibly - we need someone who has traded out of Pre LCI into LCI I think - even then though, I imagine the report will be on difference; I wonder if it is an existing box with updated mappings......

Just trying to build an album in the gallery - returns an error saying file size quota exceeded....is this because of the number of pics in this post or am I missing something else??

It's really strange that in all pictures so far, your leather looks grey.

I also think the high gloss black looks grey also - I can only put it down to my photography skills or the richness of the Carbon paint in contrast

500 to go till its properly run in - getting sweeter and smoother by the mile - it got treated to its first tank of BP Ultimate yesterday!.....starting to really fly now and turning in a not too shaby 33 to the gallon (good considering I am taking the 'varied engine speeds' approach to running in). The shifting on this new autobox is almost seamless, I can also report that it definitely does not slam as reported with the pre LCI gearbox. The ride and grip from the M Sport Suspension / 172 wheel combo is excellent for a car of this weight and size; the only observation I can make at the moment against the car is that the steering rack isn't as quick as the 3 series - i imagine though this will be a car size / wheel size issue and will just need a period of time to get used to; it does however have plenty of feel and feedback (for a car of this size)
