Hi,

I used a couple of hours to detail my new ride yesterday. After that it was time to make some photos. My first impressions of the newcomer:
- the engine gives good torque already under 2000 rpm
- very silent, the old one was a lot noiser
- 6 speed auto tranny combines best parts of a manual and an automatic tranny, very quick and smooth
- pre set buttons and changes in i-drive are really user friendly

- can hardly wait until break-in period is over

Best regards from sunny Finland

Thanks for kind replies to all of you!

This forum was very useful in configurating the car in January as practically no information was available from BMW Nordic.

I am sure I will enjoy the 8th BMW in Family at least as much as all the previous ones: 520i -89, 520i 24 valves -90 ;then several Mercs ; 528i -00,
525iA -03, 530iA -04 and now 525iA 07 - yes I know, two are missing, 316tiA Compact -03, first my wife?s ride, now driven by my son, and 118iA -06 driven by my wife. All our BMWs have brought a lot of pleasury to drive, and to be honest, no major problems with any of them!

Best regards,

Jukka AKA TitangrauII530iA

The car looks great. I have the same interior but with dark poplar. Outstanding detail job.
