My Ride: 520d LCI when it arrives..
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Just received my new UK spec 520d manual and have a few questions to any other 520d LCI owner.
1. According to the brochure and the manual (page 86) there is supposed to be a display in the instrument cluster to advise the best gear to be in. ( I know we dont really need the car to tell us when to change gear, but if it is supposed to have it I want the option). It can be turned on and off by holding the BC button for three seconds. Mine does not have this feature. Does anyone else have this feature?
2. The cruise control bar in the speedo is supposed to turn orange and stay where it is when the crusie control is disengaged. Mine goes out and drops back to zero. Anyone else have this.
3. Can't seem to get the soft stop to work, though I dont really know what I am expecting on this one.. Is it supposed to remove that final "jerk" ( no comments please) when comming to a stop?
I am thinking that although I have the LCI model the CIP version could be an old one.. any thoughts?
I'm going to ring the dealer about it, but thought i might get some ammunition beforehand.
Thanks..Wired.

The 520d is more of a high performance model, so like the M3 CSL and other lightweight racing models, it is not weighed down with unnecessary extra options / weight.
(OK, maybe not - but no harm trying to make a fellow 520d driver feel special hey

Soft-stop is part of the standard DSC+ system and is listed on a 520d.
The cruise control operation seems perfectly normal to me too!
From memory I think the LCI enhancements for regen braking and gearbox will hit in September.

The LCI 520d has the old gearbox and engine.
New 130 kW engine and gearbox will come later.
The 3.0 litre 525d and 530d engine is new as is the gearbox.

Your English is a million times better than my Finnish!
?l?, kuka nyt suomee osais, ainakaan kukaan j?rkev?.
The EU chemical office will start in Helsinki (see my new avatar) this year.
No one else but we Finns and the drug office staff, needs to no any...
But theres always some small exceptions:
Porsche Boxster and Cayman plus Nokia cellphone industy including the currupted Siemens guys...
