Am I missing something in all this hype over the latest facelift of the 5 ?
Visually it seems like another "Volvo-facelift" (so similar you can't tell unless the cars are parked together), so unless getting one of the new engines no big deal ? Yawn
I await the backlash !

Well, I actually don't feel the pre LCI E60 is outdated at all, certainly the outside is about 90% unchanged and if you retrofit the rear lights and drive an M-Sport, then it becomes 97% unchanged really. As for the interior restyling of door panel...etc. To me, it is just different not better.
I will certainly feel my car is outdated when the F10 appears in 2009, this is when I start planning my move to buy one, maybe in 2010 when the first year niggles are ironed out. Till then, I will try and enjoy & drive my E60 to the limit.

LCI. Wow!! New door panels. Four little led rear taillights. New plastic front bumper. New sh**ty slush box. $1.40 Radio Shack Aux port. I think I will keep my 2004 545i M-kit 6 speed. Toyo Proxes tires -- no f**king RFT's. Sport Suspension. You guys go and spend all that extra money for those really cool upgrades.

Anyone that drives an Autobox (especially oil-burner) will notice a massive difference. IMO the gearbox was the biggest fault by far, so this change is most welcomed. I am seriously thinking of a change in Jun/July with the new sport box. If you have driven the 335D you'll see the difference from the old car.. As for the "cosmetics", well they are just that!
