FYI
My car had to go in because my telematics unit failed. As part of this job software must have been updated. Now I no longer have to accept the lawyer screen. After a few seconds it goes away. Also, most presets were retained, eg. radio stations and eq settings. (Beep upon locking returned to on, however)

Lucky you.
Don't ever report this to the dealer and never again get an update.

I bet this is a software bug.

I have heard here that those without NAV, the lawyer screen goes away. Those with NAV are still stuck with having to click "Accept."

My previous E60 530i did not have nav and it went away after some version of CIP update. This is for non nav only.

Now, if we could only get all lawyers to go away so easily.
