I truly feel bad for those of you who couldn't order prep. Hopefully something will be figured out to rectify this for you guys!

(I knew this was going to get interesting -- I wonder how long it'll take to change this thread to red status?)

[quote name='nicknec' date='Jan 3 2005, 02:00 PM']I just spoke w/ "Jared" from BMWNA. He said my 07/04 build is not upgradeble since I do not have prep.

I told him that prep was not an ordereable option in 07/04. He "checked" and told me SAT prep was never taken away as an ordereble option, only the ability to order the SAT radio itself.

Tell Jared to look at the attachment that I just posted, or better yet, e-mail it to him. What he said is clearly FALSE as per BMWNA themselves in their own documentation that they sent to my dealer and me!

I tried just that when I was on the phone with him, unfortuanley I was not abel to open the file here at work. We wnet back and forth on the subject. My guess is he wanted to get me off of his phone, since I sounded like someone who knew more that he did about the subject.

I will do that tomorrow, once I open the file from home, unless someone else in our situation does so before then.

Don't know if I have the Sirius prep or not but did get an interesting Christmas gift from my dealership, "$50.00 off any Satellite Radio or iPod installation". They're checking now to see if my car is compatible with the Sirius install. iPod is quite obviously a "no - go".

Congrats, Rudy. Some of us, however, are screwed, for now. The lady I spoke with at BMWNA said she knows they are "talking about it." Sh*t.
