My Ride: 525d E60
for the European users: Has anyone seen the 2007-2 version yet? I have the -1 version and am satisfied with the roads. just curious about changes though. I'm talking about the business (only arrows, no pictured map) version.
Over here it's getting colder out there now. A note for those people who prefer to keep the original at home and put a copy in the car: mine starts to not be able to read the disc if there is a temperature difference between the car's interior and the dvd drive.
Haven't been able to pinpoint it more exactly but I left with a warm interior (external interior heater as it was -2 outside) and a cold dvd-drive this morning and it worked fine untill approx 20 minutes later (my guess is that the drive would be warmed up by then) and it wouldn't read it any more. Nor eject it.....
after the working day the car and the drive were the same temperature (and system totally shut down of course) and it popped out without a problem. Put it back in and it was fine the whole drive home (one and a half hours)
the route I know by heart but it takes the TMC (traffic information sent via FM transmission) decoding data from the disc too so I get no real-time traffic info while the drive is out with a cold.....

I too have a 2004.2 DVD now and would like to go to 2007.2. I've seen a few of them on eBay lately. To use the 2007.2, did you have to do anything more than pop out the 2004.2 and insert the 2007 one? If so, what did you have to do to get it to work?

Alternatively, switch the DVDs when the ignition is off (it is possible), let the car sit for a minute or two and only then start it up. Will work fine after that.

I have 2006-2 USA map but something is wrong with dbal folder
can someone help me and provide me just dbal folder as zip file? it isnt too big folder. pls PM me or send it via email
or where can I find those files? I dont want to buy new DVD if I have original one but with doesnt works dbal

I took delivery of my car 2 weeks ago and the DVD that came with the car for the NAV was version 2007.2. I believe it's the most updated version here in the US.
