L7 now standard on MY09 550 & 535xi

I was just looking at the new MY09 price sheet and the L7 is NC on the 550 and 535xi. $0 for the L7 kinda off sets the price increase. Wonder why they did that? Is a new sound system on the verge of replacing the L7?
