Guess what I did at lunch today? Not even the whole lunch hour either. I went down to the garage at work and lowered my car another .25 inches all around. Now, could you do that with KWs? I say, nay. What fun it is to have the ability to do this. And all the while retaining the comfortable ride (a bit stiffer than stock sport suspension) I have set to previously. Thanks again to Michael @ Acute and John (PJINCA).

Wait.. you did that in the garage? Don't you have to remove that 18mm bolt first?

Nope, not at all.
I found that the rears work exactly the same way as the fronts. Loosen the spanner on the bottom, turn the core of the struts and voila! You are adjusted. I told John about it already. Sorry I missed you on the correspondence. Tools needed are.
  • 17mm socket wrench/tire wrench
  • spanner wrench
  • elbow grease

That's it. Oh, and 10 minutes to spend on each corner.

well, if you ever get bored with what you do you might have bright future as a NASCAR pit crew member. Looks like you're pretty quick with a wrench.

Does the up and down adjustment affect your alignment?

I was looking at lowering my 07 530xi, did you do the spring install yourself? and would you say that your ride comfort was as smooth as stock before you did the latest lowering??
