Not quite:

745li

341hp= 5.7 kia piccanto's
448nm = 5.2 kia piccanto's

2025kg = 1.5 kia piccanto's

Even if I could find some way to strap 6 of the little buggers together I think there might still be a power to weight problem

First of all: needforspeed, thanks for picking it up for me (and others too) with my 525i.
Then: ok, 700700 you have a point that it isn't such an engine, but still the car has 218 hp!!!!
I come from a 530d with 193 hp and i wouldn't say the 525i is slower.
And ok, i know you can afford 'bigger cars' (like you said before) but ok, i live in Belgium = country of taxes, high petrol prices,... But i have to say i LOVE my new car!

And didn't this post has as subject kickdown?!!! so please answer my questions and not offending me with my 'lesser' engine...! This just needed to be said!

Some folks always have to have bigger and better than everyone else. The rest of us have learned to enjoy what we have and remember how lucky we are

That's why I mentioned the kia picanto, which many people would still DREAM of being able to own.

Hang on. A Kia Picanto weighs 930kg so that means 2025kg = 2.2 Picantos. Despite the power to weight issue the picanto has a top speed of 155kmh. Multiply that by 2.2 = 341kmh.

Can your 745li do 341kmh....NO....SO PICANTO WINS

I was going on gross vehicle wieght:

http://www.kia.co.uk/picantotechnicalspecification.asp

Anyway, unless we can work out how to strap the little buggers together I think he'll still win.

Do you think bungee cord would be enough or something more rigid ?

yes i said it before, on smaller engines (not v8s and v12s), it takes more time for the gearbox to choose which gear it needs to be in to gain maximum performance. On big v8s you can pretty much accelerate in any gear

GO and enjoy your car, am i stopping you in any way ?
