There are some pointless m*ther f*ckers out there...

So, can anyone recommend (or know of) a good bodyshop in or around Manchester UK? even a dealer one..

I wasn't in the best of moods this morning anyway. I'd been on the phone to a call centre for 45 mins trying to get my internet working...so this felt like a right kick in the b*llocks

Jealous morons.

I've heard good things about those mobile services, chips/dents away or some such. Might be worth a quote?

Damn that looks kinda deep (or is it me )
I hope re-spraying the door won`t cost that much, especially that (as far as I know) the dealer usually doesn`t really do spot repairs on really obvious spots ?

And about the d1ck that made it......Just no comment

Yes it is as deep as it looks, you can definitely feel it snag your fingernail. I don't think it is through to bare metal though.

As for the punishment such pathetic vandalism deserves, well I'd go 'Dexter' on them...only way they'd learn.

Sorry about being keyed - those type of people always seem to get away with it

Over here in the states I know 2 people that had their cars keyed. The only remendy is to have the whole door fixed and repainted. There doesn't seem to be a "spot" solution because of the depth and length of the keying.

Sorry to hear about that, my E46 was keyed few months ago as well and i am going to wetsand it soon

Try to find a decent detailer in your area if you dunno how to do it and they should able to remove most of the marks, but not 100% tho
But that could save you a fortune for repaint.

I sympathize with you, my Sapphire Black 2008 X5 was keyed before the license plates ever went on, and to say its infuriating is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I just wanted 5 minutes with the SOB's that cowardly keyed my car just so I could .....but I digress, I hope you get it fixed soon and that those who did it suffer a healthy dose of Karma very soon!

You guys have Dexter over there?? Wow.

Anyway, that's what happens when you take/post pictures of a dirty car. The Clean Fairies get upset and punish you for it.
j/k

Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll get it fixed soon enough and it'll be good as new. I picked up some nasty scratches on my driver door last week. Nobody to blame but myself! I was washing it at a DIY carwash (dang water restrictions!!) and trying so hard NOT to scratch it, that I let the handle slip and bang the side of the door. I need to get an estimate on a repair. Don't think it can just be buffed out.
