Default Key reprogram

Hello.. My steering wheel stopped moving into position when i start my car. I adjust it manually and it raises up when i shut car off.. but never goes back down on its own when i start car. Forums told me to try using the other key cause the first one may have lost its memory.

This seems to be the case. I tried other key and everything works fine. Anybody know how to fix my initial key? Or do I have to get bent over at the dealer to fix it?

I'm not very good with electronics so idk for sure, but when my key battery started dying I was having random issues like that.
The distance the key would work from was decreasing, comfort access was faulty, and my mirrors wouldn't readjust themselves.

It could possibly be the key battery which is about $8 from BMW. A simple reprogram would work otherwise, but I'm not sure what they would charge.
I asked about a new key and they quoted me at $250 for the key fab and $150 for programming. Maybe reprogramming would be cheaper though - I have my doubts though since its the stealership.
