Hi, I wonder if anyone of u have this experience. The car locked the doors itself when I get down to open the trunk, here is how it happend:
1. I open the driver side door, press the unlock button (next to the vent in the center).
2. Closed the door and walk to the trunk.
3. Can't open the trunk and checked all doors are LOCKED.
4. Key is left inside the car with the engine running.

Anyone know why? I guess is the timing that I push the lock/unlock button and pull the inside door handle to open the door, the timing just too close so the system can't recognize that they are 2 separate events and locked the car wrongly.

Anyways, just want to remind frds here in order to avoid any victim like myself!

Is your car set to automatically lock if no door opened in iDrive? The only time I've seen this happen on my car is when I had that set.

Mechanically, I can't see any other way the driver's door would have locked...

Been thinking about it...I got sort of attached to this one and kept it around...I wonder how many newbies think it's a picture of me?

Nah, when I think of you, I picture that dude from the movie "Rudy". What's his name again? Sean something...

Go into iDrive and change your door locking settings under vehicle settings. And don't put your kids in the car and leave them with the keys either.

There are some things in life that just have to be experienced, I guess...

No school - but maybe the pocket key?

Ps. Hey Rude...
