If you dehydrate it too much, you might need help from this guy to re-hydrate it...

haha! Well I'll be damned, it works now! Thank you very much man!

Glad I didn't have to go to the dealer and buy a new key for $500 or whatever they would have charged.

Buy? I thought it was clearly understood by everyone that the first statement to the dealer is "Mr. Dealer, I don't know what happened it just all of a sudden stopped working????

Don't know if they're using it on the BMW keys but on most cell phones these days, they have little round stickers inside the phones that turn red when they get wet. These days, with these decals, it's easy to get busted when attempting to claim ignorance...
